| PRD serves as a think tank to the Government for the National Information infrastructure and ICT development; and also serves as the program management office for government initiatives to the ICT sector. |

Project Resource Division (PRD) serves as the think tank to the Government for the National Information infrastructure and ICT development; the Division also serves as the program management office in the areas of government ICT initiatives. The Project Resource Division comprises five units:
1. Office of e-Taiwan Program:
‧Serves as the Strategic Planning Team and the e-Opportunity Team of the National Information and Communications Initiative (NICI) Committee, the Executive Yuan (the cabinet). Main initiatives include: e-Taiwan Program, M-Taiwan program, and u-Taiwan program.
‧Keeps track of emerging technology and global ICT development trends, and coordinates government agencies planning on national ICT initiatives.
‧Coordinates and integrates both public and private sectors resources promoting ICT initiatives.
2. Office of Information & Communication Security Policy:
‧Promotes the Executive Yuan's National Information and Communication Infrastructure Security Mechanism Plan.
‧Serves as the project office of the Executive Yuan's National Information and Communication Security Taskforce.
‧Integrates and administers resources for the advancement of national information security, and promotes the private-sector information security industry.
3. Industrial Technology Supporting Center 1:
‧Serves as think tank on policy for planning and promotion of industrial technology R&D and innovative applications.
‧Acts as a communicating platform between private and public sectors, and operates/administrates 3 project offices:
(1) Program for Innovative Technology Applications and Services,
(2) Industrial Technology Development Program,
(3) Technology Development Program for Academia
4. Industrial Technology Supporting Center 2:
‧Running the project office of the “Program for Innovative Technology Applications and Services” for the Industrial Development Bureau(IDB).
‧Assists IDB on planning subsidy/offering loans for the research of innovative products or services.
5 .Information Security Service Center:
‧Serves as Technology Service Center of the Executive Yuan's National Information and Communication Security Taskforce.
‧Assists the Executive Yuan's Research, Development and Evaluation Committee with implementation of its National Information and Communication Security Technology Service Program, and its Protection Management Project.
‧Provides information security technology services and solutions to public-sector units.
Vision:
Support government agencies on planning national ICT initiatives and industry development, to materialize the idea of establishing Taiwan the High-Tech service Island.
Mission:
‧Serve as science and technology think tank for government agencies.
‧Assist government agencies to promote and foster ICT industry development.
‧Provide world class consultation on leading-edge developments in Information Security Management System(ISMS). |
