Plan and implement ICT infrastructures to facilitate the realization of an ubiquitous networked society to assist in the implementation of ICT infrastructures necessary to transform Taiwan into a digital society.
Since its inception in 1979, III has helped the Taiwanese Government to plan and implement a series of innovative e-Government services to benefit and better the lives of all Taiwanese citizens. Examples of such e-Government services include Integrated Industrial-Commerce Information Management System, CWB Weather Information System, Immigration and Border Security/Passport Information System, and Agricultural Marketing Information Reporting System. III's efforts have paid dividends as the World Economic Forum has repeatedly ranked Taiwan as one of the leading e-Societies in the world (Taiwan ranked No.7 in the 2005-2006 Networked Readiness Index).
